As mentioned in a previous blog - My Body is a Battleground (My Journey of Ovarian Surgeries) - I am having surgery to remove a growth that is suspicious for malignancy this month. While I am praying that I will wake up from the surgery still with the singular ovary I currently have there is no guarantee. Being potentially infertile at 31 is something I am having a very difficult time coping with. I have only recently begun to reassess if a family is something I want one day. The reality that the choice could be stripped from me is shattering.
I have hardly been reading during this time because, much as I may want to, I am struggling to concentrate amidst the anxiety. Subsequently, I have lost motivation to write and edit blogs and have little content regardless. Therefore, I will not be posting on this blog for the time being. I will return after I have recovered both physically and emotionally from the surgery.
If you're reading this then I wish you well and I hope to see you again soon.
