Holiday Gift Guide for Book Lovers

It’s the holiday season, so what do you get for the book lover in your life? It can be tricky to buy them a book, even one by their favorite author, as you never know if they already own it. Instead, why not get them a nifty book themed/related gift? Below, I’ve suggested 8 gifts at all different price points for the reader on your holiday list.

1. A Gift Card:

You can’t go wrong with a gift card, especially if you know their favorite bookstore. These are especially great for someone who already has a lot of books so that you don’t get them any duplicates. These are also great as you have the option to set the amount.

2. Bookmarks:

These are cute, fun and affordable stocking stuffers! They’re also easy to find. Almost every bookstore sells them. If you don’t know a lot about the person, getting a bookmark with their first or last initial on it can never hurt.

3. A Reading Light:

These are nice to clip onto either your book or somewhere above to make reading easier. They’re small, which makes them ideal for travel and perfect if you’re staying with others and don’t want to disturb them when you stay up late reading.

4. Coffee/Tea/Hot Chocolate (and a Mug):

There’s nothing better than curling up with a good book and a steaming mug of your favorite beverage! This makes getting someone a box/pack of their favorite coffee, tea, or hot chocolate a great gift. If you want, you can always add a fun mug to go along with it.

5. Bookends:

These come in all different styles to fit any esthetic, and can add some pretty but practical decoration to any bookshelf. One of my personal favorite styles that I recommend, especially if you don’t know a lot about the person outside their love of books, are geode bookends. They come in a variety of colors to choose from.

6. A NOVELty Shirt:

You can find all sorts of fun reader shirts online with sayings like “The Book was Better”, and “My Weekend is All Booked.” Just make sure you know the person’s size first!

7. Book Shaped Box:

These can be found in stores like At Home and online on websites like Etsy. They look like books, but are really hollow boxes that can be used to store anything, including jewelry.

8. Book Locket:

Speaking of jewelry, if your book lover likes to wear some, then why not get them a locket shaped like a book? You can easily find these online on websites like Etsy.

I hope these can be of help to you as you shop for your loved ones and friends, and maybe even for yourself. Have a safe and happy holiday!
